The Race

The races take place with strict regulations:

to win a meeting there are several possibilities these are the points of judo

Ippon

• a projection that makes the opponent widely land on its back, in a controlled manner with speed and force.
• asset opponent on the ground of sufficient duration (twenty seconds)
• get the opponent made (for medical reasons, or more often for a suffocation or strangulation or arm bar at the elbow).

Waza-ari

• a projection that lacks one of the four characteristics necessary the ippon (fall widely on the back, control, technique or speed).
• asset opponent to the ground by at least fifteen seconds, but less than twenty.
• A waza-ari constitutes half a point. Once two waza-ari were summed to form an ippon (waza-ari awasete ippon) then decreeing the end of the fight the second waza-ari. Since 2016, with the entry into force of the new regulation, you can not add them.
